With a population of just 4,005, rural Medina may be the perfect spot for
those seeking a change from the bustle of big-city living. The town is comprised
mainly of single-family homes with a small retail area. Residents' major
shopping needs are met in the neighboring communities of Plymouth, Wayzata
and Minnetonka.
Besides its residential properties, Medina also has hobby farms, estate
properties and large horse operations. Residents spend leisure time at city
parks and regional golf courses, and at Baker Park Reserve, a popular locale
that's home to picnic spots, play areas and scenic Lake Independence.
Location
Medina is located about 25 miles from Minneapolis on the western edge
of Hennepin County.
